What to Bring When You Sell Gold

1. Your gold. Bring whatever you are considering selling: jewelry, coins, broken pieces, or a full collection. You do not need to clean it, sort it, or know its karat. You also do not need every matching piece — a single earring is fine.

2. A valid photo ID. Gold buyers are required to verify the identity of sellers and keep a record of transactions. A current government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport) is needed to complete a sale. This is standard practice and required by law for precious-metal purchases.

3. Any documentation you have (optional). If you have certificates, receipts, or appraisals, especially for coins or higher-value pieces, bring them. They are not required, but they can help.

What to expect when you arrive

You do not need an appointment. When you walk in:

1. We look at your pieces with you and separate anything that is not gold or needs different handling (such as stones or coins).
2. We test each gold piece in front of you to confirm the karat. We weigh the gold on a scale you can see.

4. You decide with no pressure. If you accept, you are paid the same day.

The entire process is done at the counter. Nothing disappears into a back room.

A few things worth knowing

• Condition does not disqualify your gold. Broken and damaged pieces still have full metal value. Selling broken or scrap gold →
• You are never obligated to sell. The evaluation and offer are free. If you decide not to sell, you simply take your items home.
• Coins are handled a little differently. A gold coin may be worth more than its metal value because of its collector value, so those are evaluated on their own.
